TORONTO – The Toronto Marlies are set to hit American Hockey League ice for the first time in over three weeks. The Marlies season was put on hold on April 14 after suspected outbreaks of COVID-19 within the club. With an AHL released on Monday afternoon, the Marlies were given a timeline of how the end of their season would play out. The updated schedule now has them playing 13 games in 20 days.

But what does their schedule contain in the last stretch? Well, it’s four dates with Belleville (with a makeup date TBD), six with Laval, and three more games with Manitoba. Toronto will not play Stockton the rest of the season.

Toronto’s first set of games finds them in a two-game stint in the battle of Ontario. Belleville dropped their recent set against Laval, which included a 3-0 shutout from Rocket’s Michael McNiven.
But Belleville will have to survive the weekend without their goaltenders Kevin Mandolese and Filip Gustavsson, who recently got promoted to Ottawa after injuries to both Anton Forsberg and Matt Murray in their series against Vancouver. Cedrick Andree is expected to assume the role of starting goaltender for the B-Sens, but a backup hasn’t been named.
Meanwhile, since Toronto played last, their forward Nick Robertson has since graduated to the Maple Leafs, where he recorded his first NHL regular-season point with an assist on John Tavares’ goal on April 15th.
Both games of their two-game set are slated to begin at 3:00 ET and will be broadcasted live on AHL TV.
