READING, Pa – The Reading Royals hosted the Adirondack Thunder for their annual Pink in the Rink game on Saturday night.
Charlie Gerard opened the scoring midway through the first period to give the Royals a 1-0 lead. Jacob Gaucher made it 2-0 with an unassisted, short-handed goal. The Thunder got back in the game 27 seconds later when Shawn Weller scored a power play goal. Gaucher scored his second of the game just two minutes into the second period. Yvan Mongo made it 4-1 for the Royals three minutes later. Max Newton added to the Royals’ lead with his 21st goal of the season midway through the third. Colin Felix capped off the scoring with a shot from the point. The final score was 6-1 to Reading.
