WORCESTER, Mass. – Wednesday night, the Adirondack Thunder who are chasing the Railers for 4th spot in the standings rolled in and earned a 3-2 victory.
After a scoreless first period, the Thunder’s Wayne Letourneau netted the second period’s only goal. In a game that was lacking intensity from the outset the third period opened with the edge in play going to the Thunder. Early in the period the Thunder’s Erik Middendorf, who was making his pro debut, scored his first goal. Later in the period forward Reece Newkirk got the Railers on the scoreboard which sparked some added intensity in their play, but it was too little too late. The Thunders Shane Harper added an empty netter to seal the victory.
