ROANOKE, Va – On Friday night at the Berglund Center, the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs celebrated the Roanoke Valley’s love of racing as they welcomed the Birmingham Bulls.
The Dawgs sped past the Bulls, winning 5-2, including two goals in less than a minute in the first period. Roanoke’s Josh Nenadal had a pass from CJ Stubbs find its way into the net 31 seconds later, and C.J. Valerian had a long pass tipped in by Dillon Radin. In between periods, fans raced RC cars on the ice for the inaugural “Diesel 500”. The momentum from the fans continued on the ice as the Dawgs made it to the “Winner’s Circle.”
