ROANOKE, Va. – After 601 days, hockey returned to the Roanoke Valley this past Friday night. With that number emblazoned on their jerseys, the Dawgs took the ice at The Berglund Center.
After an early score from ‘Dawgs forward Matt Beer, with help from CJ Stubbs, the Marksmen answered in the second and third periods with a total of four goals.
While the end results were not what Rail Yard Dawgs fans desired, it was obvious that the fans were thrilled to have hockey back.
