ORLANDO, Fla – On Thursday night, the Orlando Solar Bears held their first-ever Underwear Toss game at the Away Center against the visiting Florida Everblades.
Michael Brodzinski scored back-to-back power-play goals for the Solar Bears to give them a 2-0 lead early into the game. The Everblades Cam Darcy got his team on the board at the 3:53 mark of the first period. Joe Pendenza scored at the 9:58 mark to tie it up for the Everblades, but Orlando answered with goals from Brayden Guy and Hunter Fejes. The Everblades ended the first period with a goal by Robert Calisti to end a high-scoring first period with Orlando up 4-3.
The Solar Bears could not put up any more goals the rest of the game, Cam Darcy, James McEwan, and Blake Winiecki scored four more goals for the Everblades to take a 7-4 win.
