ROSEMONT, Ill – On Tuesday night, the Chicago Wolves hosted the Iowa Wild at the Allstate Arena.
The Wolves were the only ones to be able to find the back of the net during the first period. Alexander Pashin scored his fourth goal of the season, followed by Ryan Suzuki, who gave Chicago the 2-0 lead, with his third of the season.
The Wild’s Marco Rossi, was able to open up scoring in the second period. This goal would be his fourth of the season, to make it a 2-1 contest. Steven Fogarty, was called for tripping, which lead to a Wolves power play. Only 10 seconds into the power play, Noel Gunler was able to score for the Wolves, ending the second period with a 3-1 lead for the Wolves.
Only seven seconds into the third period of play Brendan Perlini cashed in, giving the Wolves a 4-1 lead. Perlini’s goal would go unanswered until the 12:31 mark, when Iowa Wild’s Sammy Walker, would score on a power play. The Wolves would secure the win, with an empty-net and short-handed goal by Josh Melnick, for a 5-2 victory.
