MACON, Ga. – The Macon Mayhem ended their 2021-2022 season at home with a three-game series against the Pensacola Ice Flyers on April 8 through 10. The weekend started with a nail-biter on Friday, April 8. The Mayhem took an early lead but the Ice Flyers were able to make a comeback to win the game with a final score of 3 to 2. On Saturday, April 9, Pensacola dominated the game and shut out Macon 3 to 0. On Sunday, April 10, the Mayhem left it all on the ice. Macon scored three goals in the first period and did not let up for the rest of the game. The Macon Mayhem would win their last game of the season with a final score of 6 to 2. This gallery features my best shots from April 9 and 10.
Macon did not make the playoffs, making this my final post for the season. The Mayhem had a rough time this year but that is how rebuilding years can go. The stat books for the season really do not represent how hard this Macon team played. Even when things were not going their way, they truly did #BattleEveryShift. I hope everyone enjoyed viewing my photo galleries as much as I have putting them together. I am proud to have covered the Mayhem for Field Pass Hockey and look forward to being back next season.
