JACKSONVILLE, Fla – Up against the visiting Norfolk Admirals, Jacksonville stepped back in time playing as the Lizard Kings Saturday night for the second game in a row. Even the announcers, rosters, scoreboards, and jerseys all referred to the team as the Lizard Kings. The Jacksonville Lizard Kings originally played in Jacksonville from 1995-2000.
Outshooting Norfolk 42-21, the Lizard Kings lost 5-2 to the Admirals for their first regulation loss in seven games. An empty net goal in the closing minutes of the game by Norfolks’ Alex Tonge earned him a hat trick.
