MACON, Ga. – The Macon Mayhem looked to extend their longest home winning streak on Friday, January 3 against the Pensacola Ice Flyers. Like the previous meetings between these teams, the game was fast paced and evenly matched. The Ice Flyers scored first and closed the opening frame with the lead. The Mayhem started swinging in the second period, scoring three unanswered goals. Pensacola would fire back in the third period but could not complete the comeback. Macon would win the game with a final score of 3-2 and extend their home winning streak to 5 games.
