MOLINE, Ill. – The Quad City Storm welcomed their foes from down the Interstate to the Vibrant Arena on Saturday evening, November 26, 2022. The same two teams played the night before in Peoria, with the Peoria Rivermen getting a shutout win. Tempers were high during the Friday night game but did not spill out during the rematch a day later. The home team was able to open a two goal lead just past the midpoint of the first period and that was all the visitors allowed; the Rivermen squad was able to put a tally on the scoreboard in every period and ultimately earned a 3-2 victory.
The teams will get a break from each other for a few weeks, already playing six times over the first eight weeks of league play. Both will most likely enjoy some different competition to get a better understanding how they compare to others in the league.
