KNOXVILLE, Tenn – The Knoxville Ice Bears hosted the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs Friday night in front of the fans at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum.
This was the first of a two game weekend series between the two teams. Razmuz Waxin-Engback started the scoring early in the first period with a goal from the right circle. Three minutes later, Colton Fletcher added to Knoxville’s lead. The scoring continued in the second period when Bailey Conger put the puck past Roanoke’s Austyn Roudebush. Waxin-Engback scored again early in the third. Knoxville’s goalie, Kristian Stead, kept Roanoke off the board with a 33 save shut out. The Knoxville Ice Bears defeated the visiting Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs 4-0.
