JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – On Tuesday night the Jacksonville Icemen played host to division rivals the South Carolina Stingrays. The Icemen would prevail with a 4-3 victory, extending their winning streak to three games in a row and moving them up to third in the South Division.
It was during the third period with the Stingrays up 3-1 having scored two early goals in the period that the momentum changed. On a Stingray power play the Icemen’s Derek Lodemeier and Craig Martin both scored short-handed goals 45 seconds apart. That gave the Icemen a much-needed boost with another goal by Martin five minutes later being the eventual game-winner for Jacksonville.
