Tuesday night’s throwback game had the building packed as the Charlotte Checkers took on the Springfield Thunderbirds.

CHARLOTTE, NC – Tuesday night’s throwback game had the building packed as the Charlotte Checkers took on the Springfield Thunderbirds.

Scoring stayed close as the two teams battled back and forth for the win.  A third-period goal put the Thunderbirds ahead and a late empty net goal cemented the win for Springfield, with a final score of 4-2.
