CINCINNATI, Ohio – Friday night, the visiting Toledo Walleye beat the Cincinnati Cyclones 6-2 in Game 1 of the Central Division Finals.
The Walleye opened up the scoring in the first 15 seconds of the game on a goal by Gordie Green. Cincinnati tied the game 1-1 when Adam Berg scored at the 12:02 mark. Toledo hit back with another goal with less than four minutes of play in the first period to regain the lead.
After a scoreless second period, Cincinnati leveled things up with a goal by Andrew Nielsen within the first five minutes of the final period. Toledo scored four unanswered goals in three minutes to put the game away and take the win.
