READING, PA – For the final time this season, the Reading Royals and Trois-Rivières Lions faced off.
The Royals opened the scoring just a minute and a half into the game with the first professional career goal from Solag Bakich. The Lions tied it up in the second with a goal from James Phelan. Cole Gallant put the Lions ahead five minutes into the third period before Mason Millman tied up the game three minutes later. Both teams pushed for the game-winner down the stretch and in OT but ultimately, the game would need to be decided in the shootout. Anthony Beauregard and Connor Welsh scored for the Lions. Charlie Gerard scored the lone goal for the Royals. The final score was 3-2 to the Lions.
