CHARLOTTE, NC – The Charlotte Checkers came back Wednesday night looking for another win against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, having beaten them the previous night.
Captain Zac Dalpe put the Checkers on the board just over a minute into the game for the 1-0 lead. Carsen Twarynski and Connor Carrick added two more goals in the second period, putting the Checkers up 3-0. Each team scored a goal in the third period with the Penguins Nathen Legare scoring a power play goal on goaltender Joey Daccord, ruining his shutout bid. Daccord kept all the remaining Penguins shots at bay earning himself the third star of the game, in the 4-1 victory for the Checkers.
