NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. – The South Carolina Stingrays announced the addition of 13 games to the 2020-21 schedule. The new games stretch the schedule through February 10th and additional dates will be added in the future.
The newly added games consist of six home games and seven road games. Home opponents will be Greenville (3), Jacksonville (2), and Florida (1). The Stingrays will be on the road facing Wheeling (3), Florida (2), Orlando (1), and Greenville (1).
While all previous home games had been scheduled for weekend dates, the new home dates feature two games on Friday and one Saturday contest. Two of the other games are Wednesday evening contests and a Monday afternoon contest on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
The new games have the Stingrays home three times over the long MLK weekend, hosting Greenville on Friday and Saturday and Jacksonville for a matinee contest on Monday. The Stingrays will then have two mini road trips with a three-game set in Wheeling January 22-24 January, followed by a two-game tilt against Florida and a game at Orlando on the 31st to close out the first month of the new year.
February opens up with a game at home against Greenville on the 3rd, a trip up to Greenville the following day, and back in Charleston on the 5th to host Jacksonville. The new slate of games closes out on the 10th with the Stingrays hosting Florida for the first time this season.
