Welcome to Syracuse Speaks, a podcast for Field Pass Hockey!

Now in its fourth season, Syracuse Speaks aims to cover the Syracuse Crunch, its organization, and the AHL from the stands. Host Alexandra Ackerman has been covering Syracuse on the internet since 2008, and desires to share her passion for the team and the league with her listeners.

In this episode, recorded Sunday, September 12th, 2021, Alex serves up all the news that has happened since the previous podcast. She briefly addresses the team’s decision to only allow vaccinated individuals into games this season (something she covered more fully in her last article for Field Pass Hockey). She then moves onto some important dates coming up in the life of Crunch fans, including the team’s new preseason schedule:

• October 9th: Syracuse hosts the Utica Comets in a preseason tilt at the Upstate Medical University Arena at The Oncenter War Memorial, the first contest hosted in front of fans in Syracuse since February 29th, 2020
• October 10th: The Crunch travels to Rochester for a preseason game
• October 15th: Syracuse opens their regular season at Cleveland
• October 23rd: Opening Night for the Syracuse Crunch

The next few weeks are going to jam-packed with news as the season draws closer! Syracuse Speaks will be there every step of the way.
