TULSA, Okla. – After sweeping a four-game set against the Wichita Thunder this weekend, the resurgent Tulsa Oilers bolstered their offense through the trade market.  They acquired forward Alan Lyszczarczyk from the Orlando Solar Bears in exchange for future considerations.  The 23-year old from Wallington, NJ has played in 70 ECHL contests and has 21 goals to his credit.

Lyszczarczyk is another weapon in the Oilers scoring arsenal, which is just coming into its own in recent games.

“Alan is a skilled player,” head coach Rob Murray stated of his newest acquisition. “He has shown his ability to score dating back to the OHL, and he also produced in Fort Wayne.

“We have been looking to bring in someone who provides more scoring, and I feel like he can do that.”

Lyszczarczyk (pronounced luh-zar-chuk) spent last season in Fort Wayne where he scored 19 of his 21 goals to date.  Prior to turning pro, the 6-foot, 183-pound forward played in the Ontario Hockey League, scoring 205 points (87G, 118A) in 251 games split among Sudbury, Owen Sound, and Mississauga. He is also a Polish national who has represented them on their U18 and U20 national teams, winning a gold medal and two silver medals.

The Oilers will kick off a four-game set against the Allen Americans on Wednesday night, featuring two games in Allen and two in Tulsa.
