What Makes a Strong Minor League Hockey Writer at Field Pass Hockey?
Have an excellent command of the English language, including AP style.
Able to accept constructive feedback of your work from the editorial staff and grow from it.
Produce good work consistently. Writers are asked to publish four articles per month during the season and two per month during the offseason. Photographers are required to publish at least two galleries a month during the season.
Come up with creative ways to tell the story of the team you cover, including the league and minor league hockey overall.
Be professional at all times.
Abide by all rules and directions issued by the team’s media relations department, the league, and Field Pass Hockey.
We have a zero-tolerance policy for harassment. This goes for anyone you encounter while working on an FPH credential or while using FPH-branded social media.
Be comfortable with using social media to share your work, the work of your colleagues, and engage with fans.
Write articles and produce work in various styles (game recaps, features, editorials, breaking news, podcasting, video work, etc.)
